UES Steakhouse 'Catch 'n Chop' Opening Date Announced
Catch n' Chop is the latest restaurant concept from the team behind Third Avenue's Siena Cafe.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — After five years, the space once occupied by a beloved steakhouse with a lively bar scene is getting a second life.
Catch 'n Chop, a new modern and sustainable take on the classic American steakhouse, is opening its doors at 1600 Third Ave., near East 90th Street. The restaurant is taking over the space formerly occupied by Parlor Steak and Fish, which closed in 2018 after a decade in the neighborhood.
For more than five years, the Third Avenue storefront has remained empty, with some describing it as an "eyesore" on the street.

Parlor Steak and Fish closed after their lease expired, and according to the owners, they were unable to reach a fair agreement to renew it.
Now, next week, that spot will become, again, a steak and fish place.

Catch 'n Chop is apparently set to open on Aug. 2, offering a menu featuring seafood and a variety of high-quality meat cuts. Menu items will include starters like charred octopus and steak tartare, as well as main courses such as farro island salmon, lobster diavolo, lamb chops and a bone-in ribeye steak.
Catch 'n Chop will also have an extensive and dynamic beverage program featuring all local New York beers, officials said.
The owners of the Upper East Side's newest steakhouse are well acquainted with the New York City culinary scene. Cousins Russ Sujak and Emir Mrkulic also run and operate the Italian restaurant Siena Cafe at 1580 Third Avenue.
