UES Woman Sues Husband For Claiming Her Father Set Up Hit: Report
The husband said in 2016 that his estranged wife's father hired a hitman to kill him during a divorce battle.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An Upper East Side socialite is taking her husband to court for his claims that her father attempted to have him killed during a divorce battle, according to reports.
Ronit Mitnik is calling estranged husband Oleg Mitnik a liar for his murder-for-hire tale in new court filings first reported on by the New York Post. The court filings also accuse Mitnik of hiding assets worth hundreds of millions of dollars in offshore bank accounts and telling their kids that his father-in-law is trying to have him killed, according to the report.
"In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined the lengths he would go to and the lies he would tell in order to keep his assets hidden," Ronit Mitnik said in a court filing, as reported by the Post.

Oleg Mitnik first claimed that father-in-law Anatoly Potik hired a hitman to kill him in 2016, but charges were dropped, the Post reported. After the charges were dropped Mitnik brought a civil lawsuit against his wife and father-in-law, according to the report.
Ronit Mitnik's lawsuit asks a judge to fine her husband $10,000 for the claim, the Post reported. The socialite and her shipping magnate husband have been engaged in their bitter divorce battle since 2014, according to the report.
