UPDATE: 85-Year-Old Victim In Crash On The UES Identified
Police have provided more information on Monday's fatal crash on the Upper East Side.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The 85-year-old pedestrian struck and killed by a van on the Upper East Side has been identified, New York City Police Department officials said.
The victim, Janus Gorzynski, was crossing from east to west on East 91 Street at Park Avenue on Monday afternoon around 2:42 p.m., less than a block from where he lived, when a 67-year-old man driving a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter Van hit him.
The driver was heading west on East 91st Street and making a left turn onto Park Avenue, police said.

When police arrived, they found the victim in the roadway with head and body trauma. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the van remained on the scene, and no arrests have been made yet, police said.
