Video Shows Gunman Taking Shots At UES Building
Police released the surveillance footage showing a man firing from Roosevelt Island.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY – Video of a man police say shattered windows in an Upper East Side high rise building by firing gunshots across the East River has been released.
The man aimed at the 50-story rental building One East River Place which sits beside the river at East 73rd Street, police said. The surveillance video shows him shooting from 20 River Road on Roosevelt Island at 1 a.m. on August 18.
The NYPD said the man was seen walking with a woman.

The building has been shot at twice, police said. The first time was overnight between Aug. 16 and 18 when a 68-year-old resident woke to find her 14th floor living room window shattered. On the 18th, a 61-year-old had her 32nd floor window shot.
