Woman, 92, Attacked On Upper East Side Bus, Police Say

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A 92-year-old woman was punched in the face on an Upper East Side bus, and authorities are looking for the suspect, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim was on board a M15 MTA bus near the corner of East 68th Street and Second Avenue on Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m. when the suspect and the victim got into an argument.

During the argument, the suspect proceeded to punch the victim in the face, police said.

Then, the victim got off the bus, and the suspect stayed onboard, police said.

The victim sustained bruising and swelling but refused medical attention on the scene, police said.

The assault is under investigation, and no arrests have been made yet. Police said they don't have information on what led up to the argument.

Officials released surveillance photos of the suspect, who was last seen wearing glasses, a purple t-shirt, purple pants, and a yellow sweater.
