Woman Groped In Upper East Side Subway Station, Police Say

A man followed a woman from a train onto the subway station stairs and grabbed her buttocks.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted for groping a woman in an Upper East Side subway station, police said.

A 20-year-old woman was exiting the East 86th Street and Lexington Avenue subway station on the night of May 23 when she was followed onto the station's steps by an unknown man, police said. While the woman was ascending the staircase, the man grabbed her buttocks, police said.

The woman was able to get a photo of the man who's accused of groping her, police said.
