Woman Pepper Sprays 3 During UES Subway Dispute, Police Say
A woman is facing charges for pepper spraying three people Friday at the Lexington Avenue and East 86th Street station.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman is facing charges for pepper spraying three people during an argument at an Upper East Side subway station, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
The woman was exiting a train at East 86th Street and Lexington Avenue about 9:30 a.m. when she got into a dispute with a man who was also riding the train, police said. During the argument, the woman took out a can of pepper spray and attacked the man, police said.
Two bystanders were also hit with the harmful spray, an NYPD spokeswoman said. The woman, who was not identified, was arrested at the scene, police said.

Injuries suffered by the people who were sprayed were described as minor by police and fire officials. Two of the victims were taken to area hospitals and one was treated at the scene, an FDNY spokesman said.
Police are investigating the cause of the dispute, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
