Woman Sexually Assaulted At Manhattan Subway Station, Police Say

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman was sexually assaulted while leaving the 59th Street subway station Monday morning, New York City Police Department officials said.

The 38-year-old victim was walking up the stairs to exit the station around 11 a.m. Monday, when an unidentified man approached her from behind, police said.

The man shoved his face between her buttocks and licked her before fleeing south on Lexington Avenue, police told Patch.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black head wrap, black sunglasses, gray jeans and gray-and-black sneakers, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.
