Woman Shoots Man In Leg During Argument On UWS : NYPD

Raven Godette, of Brooklyn, also shot a 27-year-old woman Tuesday night, according to police.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman shot a man in the leg when an argument bubbled to the boiling point on the Upper West Side Tuesday night, police said.

The argument erupted between Raven Godette, 26, a 21-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman at the Frederick Douglass Houses near Columbus Avenue and West 104th Street about 7:20 p.m., police said.

The disagreement reached a climax point when Godette shot the man in the right leg and a woman in the left arm, police said.

Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police found the gun at the scene.

The NYPD spokesperson did not specify to Patch what the dispute was about.

According to police, Godette, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, and reckless endangerment.
