2 Women Sexually Attacked On The Upper West Side: NYPD

A man attacked two women from behind near the 79th Street 1 train station on April 30, police said Thursday.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Two women were sexually attacked recently on the Upper West Side, police said on Thursday.

The first attack happened about 9 p.m. on April 30th near the corner of 78th Street and West End Avenue., when a man approached a 49-year-old woman from behind and touched her private area, before running away, police said.

The second attack happened five minutes later, when a man snuck up behind a 43-year-old woman near West 78th Street and Broadway, grabbed her around the neck, and touched her privates, police said.

He then fled onto the uptown platform of the 79th Street station, police said.

Neither woman sustained injuries, police said.
