25-Story Building Planned For The UWS, City Records Show

The new building will have 58 apartments and "amenity spaces," according to the recent filing.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Permits have been filed for a new, 25-story apartment building on West 66th Street, city records show.

The building, located at 37 West 66th St. between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, will have 58 apartments and "amenity spaces," according to the recent filing.

Extell Development is the company redeveloping the whole site, which is part of the former ABC/Disney campus. Extell bought the campus back in 2022 for more than $925,000,000.

The 355-foot-tall development will be evenly split between commercial space and residential space, with 192,481 square feet designated for each purpose, per development watchdog site New York YIMBY.

Demolition permits for the current 14-story residential building were submitted in October, and no projected completion timeline has been released yet.

A permit for this project has not been issued by the city yet, and it is under review, according to the Department of Buildings.
