Elderly Woman Attacked At UWS Movie Theater, Police Say
An 81-year-old woman was grabbed by the hair and pulled to the ground during an argument at the AMC Theater on Broadway and 84th Street.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a woman who attacked an elderly moviegoer at an Upper West Side AMC theater during an argument, police said.
The two women got into a verbal altercation at the AMC Theater on Broadway and West 84th Street on the evening of Saturday, March 30, police said. The argument escalated to violence when one of the women grabbed the other by the hair and pulled her to the ground, police said.
The victim, who is 81-years-old, was treated at a nearby hospital for dizziness, pain and swelling, police said. Police do not know exactly what caused the two women to argue, but did say both women were waiting in line when the argument started.

Police described the suspect as a woman in her mid-30s with long dark hair who was last seen wearing a red shirt, black spandex pants and red sneakers. The NYPD released a photo of the woman (seen above) taken by a street-facing security camera.
