Kitchen Knife-Wielding Morningside Heights Robbers Sought: NYPD

MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS, NY - Authorities are looking for a trio who reportedly robbed a 65-year-old man at knifepoint near Morningside Drive.

The victim was walking near West 116 Street and Morningside Drive about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 22 when the trio approached him from behind, displayed kitchen knives and demanded his property, police said.

The individuals took the man’s iPhone and fled the location on foot. They were last seen leaving Morningside Park at the intersection of West 123 Street and Morningside Avenue, police said.

The man didn’t report any physical injuries as a result of the incident.
