Man Charged With Assault In Death Of 15-Year-Old Boy On UWS: NYPD
On June 28, 15-year-old Jallen McConnell was found dead in a bathtub. On Friday, his death was reclassified to a homicide.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — On June 28, 2021, Jallen McConnell, 15, a resident of Athens, Georiga, was found dead in a bathtub within an apartment at 120 West 94th Street in the Wise Houses on the Upper West Side.
Police who responded on the day found no apparent signs of trauma and said the Medical Examiner would determine the cause of death.
The details surrounding the teenager's death took a turn on Friday, when police announced they were now reclassifying the incident as a homicide and charged 32-year-old Mitchaux Booker with the following:

Booker is a resident of the Upper West Side NYCHA complex at 120 West 94th Street.
