Man Found Dead With Rope Around Neck In Central Park: Report
A 26-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning in Central Park near 65 East Drive, a police spokesperson told Patch.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — A 26-year-old man was found dead with a rope around his neck Wednesday morning on the east side of Central Park, according to multiple reports, including the New York Post.
Police arrived in Central Park near 65 East Drive around 8:18 a.m. Wednesday to find the man unconscious and unresponsive, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch.
The location is just a few minutes from the Central Park Boathouse.

EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.
The New York Post reports that the man is homeless and known to frequent that area of Central Park. Additionally, police and other sources have told the Post that they are now looking at the incident as a homicide.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
The name of the 26-year-old man will be withheld until the family is properly notified.
