Man Set Girlfriend On Fire In Upper West Side Home, Police Say
The 32-year-old woman was rescued by a neighbor after the brutal assault.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A man is wanted beating his girlfriend and setting her on fire inside her Upper West Side apartment building, police said.
Larry McGloster, 26, is accused of brutally assaulting his 32-year-old girlfriend Tuesday in the hallway of a public housing building on the corner of Columbus Avenue and West 100th Street, police said.
Shortly before 12 p.m., McGloster doused his girlfriend in an unknown substance before setting her on fire, police said. After setting the fire, McGloster fled the apartment building, police said. The man has not yet been caught, police said.

The woman — who has not been identified — suffered sever burns and was taken to Harlem Hospital in critical but sable condition, police said. She was rescued by a neighbor who wrapped her in a sheet to douse the flames, the Daily News reported.
"She was knocking on everybody’s door. She was hollering for help," neighbor Bonnie Chapman, who works as a security guard, told the Daily News. "I grab a sheet and put her out."

McGloster (seen above) is 5-foot-8, weighs about 150 pounds and was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark colored pants, police said.
