It was founded in New York City by James Beard award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi.

Here's what TimeOut had to say about it.

"In recent years, Tosi has been a globally-recognized fixture in the food scene with countless partnerships and a her very own Chef's Table episode," TimeOut wrote. "Milk Bar continues to churn out whimsical sweets like cereal-milk soft serve."

The Upper West Side location is open 9 a.m. to midnight and serves up cakes, truffles, cookies, pies, soft-serve ice cream, and more.

Levain Bakery: 351 Amsterdam Ave. + 167 W. 74th St.

The iconic bakery has two locations just blocks away from one another on the Upper West Side, including its original storefront.

Levain Bakery was created in 1995 by two friends as a small bread shop.

Here's what TImeOut had to say about it.

"The cookies at Levain Bakery are the stuff of legend: Massive mounds that stay underdone in the middle, making them ideal for cookie-dough lovers," TimeOut wrote. "Don’t miss the lush, brownie-adjacent double-chocolate number."

The menu serves up variations of cookies, loaf cakes, rolls and breads, pastries, brioches, and more.
