UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A popular takeout only eatery that has amassed a following in Lower Manhattan opened a new outpost on the Upper West Side this weekend.

Poulet Sans Tete, a restaurant that specializes in rotisserie chicken, opened for the first time Friday at 590 Amsterdam Ave., between 88th and 89th streets.

"UWS Poulet in full effect," the restaurant wrote on its Instagram on Sunday. "Thrilled to be here and enjoying some beautiful spring weather."

The restaurant isn't new to serving New Yorkers food, but it is new to having a space where patrons can sit down.

The original Poulet Sans Tete is located in the West Village and only offers take out and delivery.

The eatery is best known for its $27 whole rotisserie chicken, and its $17 half rotisserie chicken.

Outside of its signature, it also serves up french fries, spiced cauliflower, salad, roast corn, dripping potatoes, cucumbers, quinoa salad, mac and cheese, sautéed kale, sautéed brussels sprouts, chicken and vegetable soup, a pulled chicken sandwich, and a garlic baguette.

“There’s no better neighborhood for this kind of food than the Upper West Side,” co-owner Laurence Edelman told the WestSideRag. “It’s good for families. It’s good for somebody who wants to plan for a few days out of the week – you can get a whole chicken on Monday and you’re still eating it a few days later.”

Poulet Sans Tete will be open from noon to 8 p.m. daily. The Upper West Side location will also offer delivery.
