Popular Pita Chain To Open UWS Location, Report Says

Miznon, a venture from Israeli chef Eyal Shani, is planning a second New York City location on West 72nd Street.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A pita chain that draws long lines at its outpost in Chelsea Market is set to open a second location on the Upper West Side, according to reports.

Miznon, started by one of Israel's top chefs Eyal Shani, has secured a space on West 72nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues, Eater New York first reported. Rumors about the chain opening in the neighborhood have been churning recently, but a set location was not announced until Tuesday.

The report did not specify when Miznon is expected to open.

If the Upper West Side location mirrors the Chelsea Market one, diners will place orders at a counter and then have their meal delivered to their chosen seat.
