'Rail Condition' Delays UWS Trains, MTA Says
An issue with the rails at the 81st Street and Central Park West station forced express trains to run local.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Express trains were forced to run local Monday afternoon on the Upper West Side causing delays on four train lines, the MTA announced.
A problem with the rails at the West 81st Street-Museum of Natural History station was first reported around 1:15 p.m., the MTA said. The rail condition forced A and D trains to run local from 59th Street-Columbus Circle and West 72nd Street to the West 145th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue station in Harlem.
Trains on the A, B, C and D lines were delayed as a result of the service change, the MTA said.
