Rent On The Rise On The Upper West Side: Study

Compared to last September, prices for studios and one- or two-bedroom apartments have bumped up, a study shows.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Average rent prices on the Upper West Side have risen in the last year, according to a study by real estate firm MNS.

Studio apartments on the UWS were actually a touch cheaper in September than in August 2021, but had risen slightly compared to September 2020.

The report from MNS includes prices for apartments both with and without a doorman. Prices rose at a much higher rate for one- and two-bedrooms that had an attendant at the door, the report shows.

Overall, the average price for any rental in Manhattan is up 12.65 percent from this time last year, the report says.
