UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Ahmet Nejat Ozsu refuses to vacate his Upper West Side home. His decision is halting a multi-million dollar real estate deal.

As reported by the New York Times, Naftali Group bought a building at 215 W. 84th St. in 2021 for $70 million. The real estate group, which has plans to turn the property into a luxury condo building, told the tenants that they had to move out — offering buyout deals to do so.

All of the building's tenants have agreed to move, besides Ozsu, who has turned down a $30,000 buyout offer, an eviction notice, and dealt with a newly filed lawsuit against him, reported the New York Times.
