SNL Uses UWS Park To Film Skit About Dog Parks For Lonely Men
Pete Davidson and other Saturday Night Life cast members were recently in Riverside Park to film a skit.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — It is not every day you see your local park on national television, but that is exactly what happened over the weekend an Upper West Side section of Riverside Park served as the filming location for an SNL skit.
The recently aired skit, "Man Park," uses Riverside Park south as the setting for a place where adult men in relationships who are struggling to make male friends can go to meet other guys.
"It is like a dog park, but for guys in a relationship, so they can make friends and have an outlet besides their girlfriends and wives," the narrator of the skit says.

Pete Davidson stars as one of the lonely boyfriends.
"He's a little shy, go on, go say hi," one girlfriend says as her boyfriend hides under a bench within the Man Park.

It is hard to tell exactly where the skit was filmed in Riverside Park, but the spot is somewhere between West 59th and 72nd Street.
At multiple points, you can see the Henry Hudson and the Greenway path.
The Park Department knew about the filming and gave approval for the cameras, but the Riverside Park Conservancy didn't know it would get a national feature until the skit aired.
ILoveTheUpperWestSide and the WestSideRag both also reported on the Upper West Side SNL skit.
