Two Stabbed On Upper West Side, Woman Arrested, Police Say

Both men who were stabbed were taken to St. Luke's hospital and are expected to survive.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman is facing charges for stabbing two men Wednesday night at her Upper West Side apartment building, an NYPD spokesman said.

Lanijah McCoy, 22, was arrested Tuesday night around 8:15 p.m. and charged with two counts of felony assault, an NYPD spokesman said. She is accused of stabbing two men at 74. W. 92nd St. — an apartment building located near Columbus Avenue.

McCoy stabbed both men around 7:45 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. The spokesman could not confirm what motivated the double stabbing. Both men were taken to St. Luke's hospital suffering lacerations and are expected to survive, an NYPD spokesman said.

The apartment building where the stabbing occurred is operated by the New York City Housing Authority.

The identities of the victims were not confirmed by police.
