Upper West Side Duane Reade Location Closing In February
An employee confirmed to Patch that the Duane Reade on the corner of 106th Street and Broadway will close on Feb. 16.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Duane Reade on the corner of West 106th Street and Broadway will permanently shutter in a little more than a month's time.
An employee from the store at 2760-62 Broadway confirmed to Patch that the Duane Reade will close on Feb. 16.
The most recent pharmacy closing joins recent shuttering such as the longtime Rite Aid on Amsterdam Avenue between West 69th Street and 70th Streets, and the Duane Reade on West 97th Street and Columbus Avenue that closed in 2019.

The two-level Duane Reade storefront at West 106th Street is one of the larger businesses in the area. It also sits within a relatively busy pedestrian corner between the West 110th and 103rd Street 1 train stations.
The employee did not specify to Patch why the store was closing.
