Sarabeth's On Upper West Side Broken Into And Burglarized: Police

A man forced his way into the popular eatery Thursday morning near West 80th Street and Amsterdam, before snatching an iPad, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A well-known Upper West Side restaurant was broken into and burglarized on Thursday, police said.

Around 1:15 a.m., a man forced his way into Sarabeth's at 423 Amsterdam Ave., between West 80th and 81st streets, before snatching an Apple iPad from inside and fleeing the scene, police said.

There were no injuries reported.

Police released a photo of a suspect, who a spokesperson described as 50 to 60 years old , with a heavy build, and around 6 feet 1 inch tall.

The restaurant burglary comes around a month after seven eateries on the Upper West Side were broken into on one night.
