UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Upper West Side sushi lovers rejoice, as a local eatery was just named among the best in the cuisine in New York City.

Eater NY recently published its list of the 16 best sushi spots in the five boroughs, and the first name on the list was an UWS restaurant.

"Chef and owner Yukihiro Takeda helms the eight-seat counter, and it’s thanks to him that the Upper West Side now has a higher-quality omakase sushi option," Eater NY wrote. "His Edomae-style, 19-course menu runs $250 and incorporates seafood flown in from Tokyo’s Toyosu fish market several times a week."

Takeda opened in 2019. It was the only sushi eatery above 51st street in Manhattan to make the Eater NY ranking.

It is open for business from Wednesday through Sunday, and reservations can only be made 14 days in advance.

You can find out more on Takeda's website.
