UWS Bistro Henry's To Close After 19-Year Run
The restaurant's owner is selling the business due to "changes in my personal and professional priorities."

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Upper West Side restaurant Henry's will close its doors later this month after 19 years in business, according to reports and a letter from the eatery's owner.
The bistro, located on Broadway between West 105th and 106th streets, will serve its last meals on Sunday, Oct. 21, the West Side Rag first reported. Owner Henry Rinehart wrote in a letter that he is selling the restaurant to business partner Scott Snyder due to "changes in my personal and professional priorities."
Snyder, who helmed Henry's kitchen for eight years, plans to convert the Broadway eatery into a seafood restaurant called Boulevard Seafood Company, according to Rinehart's letter. Rinehart called the ownership transition a "wonderful business opportunity to continue this long history of success by passing ownership to my partner Chef Scott Snyder."

Rinehart and Snyder plan to hold several farewell events at Henry's in the weeks before the business closes. These events will serve to "celebrate our community over great food and beverage" and introduce Snyder to loyal Henry's customers.
Boulevard Seafood Company is expected to open sometime before Thanksgiving and all Henry's reservations and gift cards will be honored at the new restaurant, Rinehart wrote in his letter.
