UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An elderly man who was reported missing last month after leaving the Upper West Side senior home where he lives has been found and is safe, police said.

Hamilton Pena, 66, was found Friday morning, police said. The NYPD did not provide details as to how they located the man, or what he was doing while he was missing. Pena was reported missing in late March after not being seen since he left his home on March 1, police said.

The building where Pena was living is a senior home run by the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing. The building, called Euclid Hall, provides "permanent supportive housing for single low income adults, including individuals with special needs and working persons," and has more than 270 rooms, according to the organization.
