UWS Resource Fair Brings City Agencies To Neighborhood

Services such as flu shots, vision exams and HIV testing will also be offered during the Wednesday night resource fair.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — City officials will head to the Upper West Side on Wednesday, Feb. 13 to meet with neighborhood residents during a city resource fair, local City Councilwoman Helen Rosenthal and City Council Speaker Corey Johnson announced.

The fair will be held at John Jay College of Criminal Justice on West 59th Street between 10th and 11th avenues. Residents of nearby neighborhoods such as Hell's Kitchen can also take advantage of the resource fiar.

Staff members from city agencies such as the NYPD, the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the Department of Small Business Services and from elected officials such as the city and state comptroller offices will attend the fair. Residents can RSVP in advance to arrange a scheduled meeting.

Services such as flu shots, vision examinations and HIV, Hepatitis C and Syphilis testing will also be offered on site. The resource fair starts at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to run two hours.
