UWS Smoke Shop Robbed In The Middle Of The Day: NYPD

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Two men robbed an Upper West Side smoke shop in the middle of the day on Monday, a police spokesperson told Patch.

The duo walked into the 85 Convenient Store at 523 Amsterdam Ave., near West 85th Street, about 1 p.m., and began grabbing merchandise off the shelves while threatening violence, police said.

The men then collected up the goods and ran out of the business, police said.

The NYPD spokesperson did not know what specific merchandise was taken, and a phone number listed for the store is out of order.

Nobody was injured, police said.
