UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side wine bar that won rave reviews has closed after nine years in business, according to reports.

The Tangled Vine, located on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 81st Street, shut its doors on Sept. 25, neighborhood blog the West Side Rag first reported. A letter was posted in the door announcing that the bar was closing, but did not specify why, according to the report.

"We fell privileged to have been part of the UWS community, and we'll miss everyone who made the Tangled Vine so special," the letter reads, as reported by the West Side Rag.
