Woman Groped Inside UWS Subway Station, Police Say

A 39-year-old woman was standing on the platform of the Broadway and West 79th Street when she was assaulted by an unknown man.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted in connection with a groping on the Upper West Side, police said.

A 39-year-old woman was waiting for a train on the platform of the Broadway and West 79th Street on the night of Nov. 2 when an unknown man approached her, police said. The man grabbed the woman's buttocks and then fled the station, police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s or 30s who was last seen wearing a dark hat, dark jacket and tan pants. Police released a photo of the man taken on a subway station security camera.
