Woman Punched In The Face, Robbed In UWS Train Station: Police
A woman was on a train at the 72nd Street station Monday night when an attacker socked her in the face and snatched her phone, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman was punched in the face and robbed Monday night while riding a train on the Upper West Side, police told Patch.
A 23-year-old woman was on a northbound 3 train at the West 72nd Street station around 10 p.m., when a person she didn't know approached her, hit her in her face, and snatched her phone, police said.
The attacker then ran off through the train cars, police said.

The NY Post reported the attacker was also a woman.
The 23-year-old was not hospitalized, but received medical attention within the train station.
