Woman Shot In The Face Through Door Peephole On Upper West Side
After getting up to check a knock on her door, a woman on the UWS was shot through her peephole, police said.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman was shot in the face Monday night through the peephole of her door on the Upper West Side, police told Patch.
The victim had gone to the door after hearing a knock.
The shooting happened around 7:40 p.m. in a building at 860 Columbus Avenue, between West 102nd and 103rd Streets, police said. The building is within the Frederick Douglass NYCHA complex that stretches multiple blocks between 101st and 104th on Amsterdam and Columbus.

The shot was fired as the woman, 37, peered through the peephole, police said.
She was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
