  1. Oneida County's Department of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control has been granted the 2022 Municipal Achievement Award by the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA). The award recognizes the department's work in identifying inflow and infiltration efforts in wet weather, as well as its provision of funding for the communities within the county. Over the past decade, the department has completed 16 contracts for water quality and pollution control in Oneida County at an estimated cost of $25 million. (WUTR/WFXV - CNYhomepage.com)
  2. A man is facing charges after reportedly threatening people with a long gun in Utica on Monday evening. Police were called to a home on Elm Street where witnesses claimed the man showed the gun inside a duffel bag and pointed it at the victims after they opened the door. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. (WKTV)
  3. Police in Newburgh are investigating the death of a woman who was found under a discarded box spring. She was believed to be from the Utica area and may have been stabbed and bruised. There are conflicting reports about whether or not the woman was actually stabbed, but a witness stated that her body was lifeless and hidden from plain sight. (WIBX AM 950)
