Giving Back In Utica: Local Causes To Support This Season

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages people to give back to their communities, typically through charitable donations, volunteer work or acts of kindness. It takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the U.S., right after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Empowered Pathways is a nonprofit in the Mohawk Valley offering mediation, job readiness services and decision-making support to empower individuals and families. Formed from the 2018 merger of the Peacemaker Program and the Women’s Employment & Resource Center, the organization provides conflict resolution, workforce training for women and assistance with medical decision-making through community-based programs.

Feed Our Vets

Operating in Utica, Feed Our Vets is a nonprofit that provides free food assistance to U.S. veterans, active-duty service members and their families facing hunger.
