The future of Utica is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Grace Maynard, who are making a positive impact in and around Utica.

Grace, a 2024 graduate of Whitesboro High School and current nursing major at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, is a driven student-athlete with a passion for helping others. At Whitesboro, Grace excelled academically, earning high honor roll status all four years and gaining membership in the National Honor Society. Her commitment to service and leadership was evident through her involvement in clubs such as the Red Cross Club, Bridge Builders, International Club, Mathletics, Outdoor Club, and Girls Athletic Association, as well as her role as an altar server at St. Paul’s Church.

An accomplished athlete, Grace was a standout on the varsity volleyball, golf, and track teams. She served as captain of the volleyball team her senior year and continues to play golf at SUNY Polytechnic. Her ability to balance academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities earned her one of three scholarships from GPO Federal Credit Union in the fall of 2024.
