Here are the top three stories in Utica today:

  1. After 33 years of business with Joanne Gerace and her family, Tiny's Grill in Utica is going through a change in ownership. Although Gerace will no longer be the owner of the restaurant she will be remaining as a consultant, and the restaurant will be keeping the same name and tradition. The restaurant went up for sale in 2022, and it was unclear whether Tiny's would become a new business or restaurant. The new owners have not yet been identified but it is confirmed that the new owners are a local family. (WKTV)
  2. The Utica Police Department is partnering with Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers in searching for the whereabouts of Daniel E. Blair of New Hartford, as he is this week's "Wanted Person of the Week." Blair is wanted on a warrant of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property that stems from a larceny investigation that occurred in April 2023. Police are asking for anyone with any information relating to this case to contact the Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-730-8477. All tips and information are anonymous and Crime Stoppers does reward information with cash prizes for cooperation. (WIBX AM 950)
  3. This summer, the Adirondack Bank Center is bringing back the Utica Stampede Rodeo and Expo. Around 3o bull riders across the northeast will be making their way to Utica to compete in several different events for cash prizes. You can buy single-day tickets or weekend tickets for the event online or at the box office, sales began earlier this week. Mark your calendar now for an experience you won't forget on Aug. 4-5 at 7:00 p.m. each day. (WKTV)
