  1. On Monday, Jun. 26, two Utica men were arrested after being found with a stolen car. According to the Utica Police and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, officers noticed a vehicle that was suspected to be stolen parked on the 1400 block of Kemble Street occupied by several people. After performing a stop, Officer arrested the driver and the passenger, who was seen placing items into his mouth, forcing officers to arrest both individuals. (WUTR/WFXV)
  2. The Boston Bruins acquired former Utica Comets and New Jersey Devil defenseman Reilly Walsh on Monday, Jun. 26. At six feet tall and 185 pounds, Walsh played for the Comets for three years, appearing in 174 AHL games, recording 23 goals and 76 assists for 99 points. The New Jersey Devils originally drafted him in the third round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. (NHL.com)
  3. Francesca, a native of Utica, received a life-saving lung transplant performed by a Tennessee doctor to combat her pulmonary fibrosis, a condition that deteriorated her lungs rapidly in 2019. After being referred to multiple specialists and being listed for transplantation at Columbia Presbyterian and the University of Pennsylvania, she eventually relocated to North Carolina, where the successful procedure took place.
