In a separate water emergency, police received a call on Saturday afternoon for a 57-year-old man having a cardiac episode on his boat in Wantagh, authorities said.

A Town of Oyster Bay bay constable located the victim and transported him to the Jones Beach Theater. He was airlifted via Nassau County Aviation helicopter to a local area hospital, where he is currently in stable condition, police said.

In another weekend incident on the water, four people were rescued after their boat capsized Sunday morning off Lido Beach, police said. By the time officials arrived, the four passengers had all safely reached a nearby sandbar and were transported by the Town of Hempstead bay constables, with the assistance of Marine 6, to Point Lookout, police said.

The capsized 16-foot fishing boat was successfully retrieved by Sea Tow; no injuries were reported at the scene, police said.
