Paul Joseph Quartet to play composer's music at Wantagh Public Library.

The sounds of Jerome Kern jazz are coming to Wantagh this weekend.

 The Paul Joseph Quartet will perform the American composer’s scores starting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the .

An Oceanside composer, Joseph leads his band on the piano, while bass player Edgar Mills and drummer Mike Corn keep the rhythm section, allowing Susan Mitchell to chime in throughout each tune with the sweet sounds of her violin.

The Paul Joseph Quartet performs their instrumental renditions of jazz classics throughout the Long Island and New York City region. The band’s series of programs include Richard Rogers, Cole Porter and Duke Ellington jazz and George Gershwin classics.

Just last Saturday at the Mineola Library they played “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” “Take The ‘A’ Train,” “Prelude to a Kiss” and other signature Duke Ellington tunes to a packed room.
