Annual 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' Walk Back This Sunday
The largest breast cancer walk in the nation returns to Jones Beach on Sunday.

WANTAGH, NY – The American Cancer Society’s 32nd annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk will take place this Sunday at Jones Beach State Park.
The walk’s goal is to provide a supportive community for breast cancer survivors and metastatic cancer thrivers, caregivers, and families alike — sponsors and community supporters are encouraged to join as well.
Funds raised will be used towards breast cancer research, and in the last 30 years, ACS has invested more than $600 million in breast cancer research, according to a release.

The walk will be held on Super Strides Sunday, when the “Making Strides” movement will be in full swing — numerous walks across the nation will occur on the same day.
There will be a non-competitive 3-mile and 5-mile walk along the Jones Beach Boardwalk for all those attending to participate in.

Since 1993, the ACS’ Making Strides campaign has united communities with the collective goal to end breast cancer. This campaign is the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement, a release said.
The walk will be on Sunday from 7 a.m. until about noon, at Jones Beach – Field 5, 1 Ocean Parkway, Wantagh. There are no registration fees or fundraising minimums to attend.
