Beloved Seaford Resident Elise Howell-Fehling Dies At 50
"You are one of the kindest individuals I have ever met," Town of Hempstead Councilmember Chris Carini said.

SEAFORD, NY — A beloved part of Seaford's fabric is no more. Elise Howell-Fehling died Friday. She was 50 years old.
Howell-Fehling was always thinking of others, whether it be through community events or simply being a good friend.
She was especially fond of children from Seaford, as friend Donna Spinelli Jabaily said she would randomly treat them to ice cream parties.

During the height of COVID, Howell-Fehling started "Smile Bags," a creation of treats for the community's kids to bring positivity in a dark, difficult time.
Her loss was felt by Town of Hempstead Councilman Chris Carini, who wrote on Facebook: "May you forever live in eternal happiness. You are one of the kindest individuals I have ever met."

All arrangements this week for Howell-Fehling are at the Schmitt Funeral Home at 3863 Merrick Road in Seaford.
There are three visitations: Tuesday from 6-9 p.m., Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A religious service will take place on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.
The obituary also states that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Karen's Hope.
Another way to share in the solemnity, a candlelight walk was scheduled to take place on Monday evening outside the Bayview Tavern.
"Elise was the heart and soul of Seaford..she put the needs of others before her own and gave from her heart," Donna Spinelli Jabaily, a longtime friend and neighbor, told Patch. "She was truly loved by all and will be deeply missed."
