Best Of 'Patch AM': 'Dream Come True' Bellmore Boy As Mets Announcer

Eddie Kraus, 12, said he hopes winning the play-by-play contest is just the start of his sportscasting career.

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — For an inning, Eddie Kraus was on top of the world.

"It's a dream come true," Kraus told Patch AM.

The North Bellmore middle school student won a contest by SNY to call a Mets game.

Kraus, 12, was joined in the booth by the regulars-- Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling.

"It's crazy. You're watching these guys almost every night," he said.
