No injuries were reported and no criminality is suspected at this time.

Nassau County Police Arson/Bomb Squad was on scene to investigate the cause and origin of the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshal said the fire is considered nonsuspicious and appears to be an accidental electrical fire, according to the Wantagh Fire Department.

In addition, the Town of Hempstead Buildings Department responded, as did the U.S. Coast Guard due to fuel that had leaked into the water from the damaged boats, the fire department spokesperson said.

An investigation is ongoing.
