Crime Report: New Year's Day DWI Arrests, Residential Burglary
Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

- A home on New York Avenue in Seaford was burglarized between New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Police said a sterling silver set was discovered stolen after the complainant noticed a rear window broken and door ajar.
- An attempted burglary was made at on 2119 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh between New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Police said the complainant noticed wood pushed in but a security camera inside the store confirmed that no entry was gained. Police also said plywood was in place of missing glass.
- On New Year's Day Richard Stone, 22, of Seaford was arrested on Merrick Road in Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated and one vehicle and traffic law violation.
- On New Year's Day Angelica Maddox, 41, of Brooklyn was arrested on the Southern State Parkway in Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and two vehicle and traffic law violations.
- On Jan. 4 a patron at in Wantagh was struck in the head by a bottle thrown by an unknown subject, according to police.
The information is taken directly from incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.
