Crime Report: Stolen Snowblower from Church, Vacant Home Burglarized

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate a conviction. 

  • A 2003 blue Hyundai parked on Maple Street in Seaford had a tire slashed and its driver side mirror broken sometime between Feb. 7-8.
  • On Feb. 15, Victor Arias, 35, of Lindenhurst was arrested on Ocean Avenue in Seaford and charged with third-degree falsely reporting an incident.
  • On Feb. 15, Kathleen T Mangiaracina, 51, of Merrick was arrested at the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct headquarters in Seaford and charged with criminal mischief.
  • A snow blower was reported stolen from St. William the Abbot Church on 2000 Jackson Ave., Seaford on Feb. 16. Police said the door to a detached garage at the church was also damaged.
  • The siding of the WMS Realty building on 1692 Washington Ave., Seaford was reported damaged on Feb. 16.
  • A vacant home under construction on Islip Court in Wantagh was burglarized on Feb. 17. No items were reported loss from the burglary, which featured a point of entry through a rear door.
  • On Feb. 17, Tara J Cione, 34, of Wantagh was arrested on Bellmore Avenue near Marion Street in Bellmore and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and two vehicle and traffic law violations.
  • On Feb. 18, Julia A Jordan, 58, of Bellmore was arrested on Merrick Road near South Seamans Neck Road in Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • Plumbing fitting was reported stolen from two work trucks at Tragar Oil Company at 1432 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh on Feb. 20. No damage to the trucks was reported.
