Driver Killed In 1-Car Crash At Jones Beach State Park: State Police

The victim left the roadway at the traffic circle on Wednesday evening, police said.

WANTAGH, NY — A driver was killed in a New Year's Day crash at Jones Beach State Park, state police said.

The 35-year-old victim is identified as Michael Mills, 35, of Copiague, state police said.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., state police responded to calls at the Jones Beach State Park central mall.

The driver left the roadway at the traffic circle. Mills was the only person in the vehicle, state police said.
