Feb. 1: The Start of a New Patch Feature, Catholic Schools Week, Snow
What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

January has come and gone but February is starting out no different with more snow and ice in the forecast. The first day of the new month also brings about a new weekly feature to Wantagh-Seaford Patch.
1. After January brought the snowiest month on record for the area the month of February will also begin with a winter storm. Snow is expected to start falling at dawn before eventually changing to sleet and later back to the white stuff before wrapping up Wednesday.
2. As part of "Catholic Schools Week" the in Seaford is hosting an open house foe prospective families from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3. The first ever 100 Things to Do in Wantagh-Seaford launches at 11 a.m., so be sure to check back and find out what local activity made the list.
4. Those looking for an activity for their young children can attend at the Wantagh Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration is open to children ages three to six.

5. The boys and girls basketball teams are in action against Clarke. The boys hoopsters host the Rams at 7 p.m. while the Lady Vikings are at Clarke for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
